Our staff is a team of people living in a growing relationship with Christ, who have come to understand the DNA and functioning of Hope Bible Church Kelowna and have a familiarity and aptitude for the part they play in glorifying God through the fulfillment of the Great Commission in the spirit of the Great Commandment. Administrator

Permanent Part Time

We are looking for a dynamic, highly organized, executive functioning person to join our staff. Aside from a growing
relationship with Christ, understanding of the DNA and functioning of Hope Bible Church Kelowna, and a comfort with
technology, your responsibilities and duties shall include the following:

  • Communication, including but not limited to:

    • Re-directing and responding to phone, email, mail, drop in general correspondence

    • Connection cards, volunteer sign ups, baptism inquiries – segregated here as they are critical points of contact

    • ENews​

  • Volunteer engagement, including organizing and communicating with various ministry leaders and volunteers to
    equip them so as they may be able to more fully exercise their God given gifts and abilities.
    This includes, but is not limited to:

    • Communion

    • Caretaking of the office

    • Special Events​

  • Manage Schedule, including but not limited:

    • Scheduling the church calendar, paying particular attention to capacity of staff & leaders​

    • Scheduling ‘approved’ vacation requests

    • Booking of rental spaces

  • Assimilation (coordinate, attend, and support STEP 1 & 2)

  • Tracking / Reporting:

    • CCLI, Vital Statistics, etc.​

    • Database Management (familiarity with planning center is an asset)

    • Coordination with Hope Kids (re Criminal Record Checks)

    • Insurance confirmations as required

  • Facilitation of the General Operational support of Hope Bible Church, including but not limited to:

    • Oversight of custodian and facilities​

    • Collection of reimbursement forms and dispersing of cheques

    • Managing insurance, software, and license renewals

    • Collection and reporting of incident reports

    • Mail pickup and drop off

    • Ordering supplies (books, office supplies, ministry materials)

    • Preparations for staff meetings (including minutes), as required

  • Other Duties as assigned

This is a paid role and your regular workweek will be 15-20 hours per week with any modification or additional hours to
be preauthorized in writing by your Supervisor in accordance with the policies set out in our Employee Handbook.

  • STEP 1 & 2 / Special Events oversight (avg 1hr/week – shows up in a 2-4 hour block 1-2x/mo)

  • Monday is generally a complete ministry day off.

Director of Family Ministries

Permanent Part Time

We are looking for a high capacity, missions minded, people/heart focused, intentional caring person to join our staff in

the area of overseeing Family Ministries.

Aside from a growing relationship with Christ, understanding of the DNA and functioning of Hope Bible Church Kelowna,
and a natural gift/ability to disciple leaders and families, in a gospel centered way your duties shall include the following:

Family Ministries

  • Infuse the 6 distinctives as values within Family Ministries, as lived out through the 5G’s

  • Disciple Leaders in spiritual discipleship of kids and parents, and in relationship with one another

  • Disciple Parents in spiritual discipleship and evangelism of their children

  • Collaborate with the Family Ministry Teams to ensure Sunday mornings are well prepared for, by:

    • Connecting Leaders through the week in planning and praying

    • Ensuring adequate coverage of people serving in this area

    • Oversight of the planning and preparing of resources for Family Ministries

    • Connecting families and encouraging Leader to intentionally care for them
      (you are not responsible for doing all of this, but more of a logistics liaison in this area – collaborating & working with       the Team of volunteers in practically scheduling them as well as equipping them via training, and spiritual discipleship)

  • Encourage Leaders in the area of exercising their God given gifts, in faith; dreaming, praying, and planning with the team(s)

    • Check in with & encourage Leaders

    • Encourage Families (parents & kids)

  • Monday is generally a complete ministry day off.

Director of Communications

Permanent Part Time

We are looking for a high capacity, organized, artistic, technological savvy person to join our team

Aside from a growing relationship with Christ, understanding of the DNA and functioning of Hope Bible Church Kelowna,
and a familiarity and aptitude of computers, audio, video, graphic media, and related technology. Your duites shall include the following:

  • Brainstorm, create, and design logos, visual graphics, posts, and slides for effective communication in services, events, and online presence in social media and website, and the general life of the church.

  • Manage and update social media (Facebook & Instagram) with accurate and relevant information based on the church calendar and weekly meetings.

  • Volunteer engagement,

    • with a priority focus of care for our leaders and supporting the ministry in a simple way (ie we want to get to know them and what’s going on in their life AND make how people serve as simple as possible)

    • to equip and train leaders and volunteers so they may be able to more fully exercise their God given gifts and abilities.

  • Communication with staff and ministries using email, Telegram, Planning Center, and Nextcloud

  • Suggesting, recommending, and implementing efficiency gains as identified and approved

  • Assessing and managing various aspects of technology at the office and other ministries

  • Other Duties as assigned

This is a paid role and your regular workweek will be 5-7 hours per week with any modification or additional hours to be preauthorized in writing by your Supervisor in accordance with the policies set out in our Employee Handbook.
