Hope Kids

OUR MISSION

To glorify God by leading children to be committed, lifelong followers of Jesus Christ.

Hope Kids provides care and spiritual direction for children from birth to Grade 5. Our objective is to complement and support the primary leadership of parents and guardians in the home. We do this by providing a learning environment that is supported by the four pillars of Hope Bible Church Kelowna. We seek to fulfill the four pillars in a way that is engaging for children at various stages of physical, mental, social and spiritual development.

NURSERY - TODDLER

This is our community for children from Birth to 2 years old. It is our goal in this ministry to help children and families understand that Jesus needs to be the foundation for life from the earliest days in the church. Children will see the love of Christ gently modelled through volunteers who care for their needs, simply share God’s word and through the safe, fun, environment in which they play and learn. Children will discover what the Bible says is the bedrock of our beliefs as followers of Christ.

JR'S CLASS

Our JR's class includes children 3 years old to completion of kindergarten. In this group children discover how and why they should build their lives on the Rock: Jesus Christ! The JR's class starts with some pre-activities. From there they move to a time of large group worship, followed by a time of age appropriate teaching from God's word. In this age group we incorporate memory work as well as many Bible related activities and crafts to keep busy hands and minds engaged. During our Family Services, Juniors are invited to join with our congregation for a duration of the service leading up to the sermon.

HOPE KIDS GR. 1-5

Grade 1-5 students discover how and why they should build their lives on the Rock: Jesus Christ! Grade 1-5 classes also start with some pre-activities, from there they move to a time of large group worship, followed by a time of teaching from God's Word and memory work. The morning wraps up with small group discussions, and a time of journaling, reflection and prayer. Occasionally we give students in Grades 1-5 the opportunity to attend Worship Services with their parents in the main worship centre so that they can experience worship and teaching with their larger church family, with a view to making this eventual transition easier.
